Action Reason Map

Users define the Action Rules and Reason Code. The Reason code is defined via Resources –>dropdown Drop-downs

Action Reason Map is used to map the Reason Code to the Action Code. One reason code can be mapped to none to many action codes, while one action code can have many reason codes.

Click the Action Reason Map Tab in the left navigation menu under Workflow and a new Action Reason Map Tab folder will be created in the right panel.

There are 3 sub-Tab folders: Search Action Reason Map, Search Result Action Reason Map and Create New Action Reason Map.

Search Action Reason Map

Search Criteria

Field Name Description
Action Code/Name The Action Code and Name.
Reason Code/Name The Reason Code and Name.
Display Order The order it will be displayed.
CreatedByDate Date and Time when this entry is created
CreatedByUser User who create this entry.
ModifiedByDate Last modified date and time.
ModifiedByUser Last modified user.
AND Select AND radio box if you want those criteria add together.
OR Select OR radio box if you want to get the result if either of the criteria is met.

Functional buttons

  • Find: – click the Find button to search.
  • Clear:– click the Clear button to clear all the criteria.

Search Result Action Reason Map

The top part is the table which shows the list of the Action Reason Map that meet the search criteria. The bottom part is the details of the selected entry.

Update/Delete Action Reason Map

Double Click the selected record in the table to modify this entry. A new Tab folder Update/Delete Action Reason Map will be added, as shown below.

Functional buttons

  • Update: – Make changes on the Action Reason Map and save and switch back to the “Search result Action Reason Map” Tab. Some of the fields in this form are read only, like created/modified user and date.
  • Reset:– Reset the data to its initial value and discard all the changes.
  • Cancel:– Cancel this change and switch back to the “Search result Action Reason Map” Tab.
  • Delete:– Delete this entry and switch back to the “Search result Action Reason Map” Tab.

Create New Action Reason Map

Select the “Create New Action Reason Map” Tab to create a new entry.

Field Name Description
Id Action Reason Map unique record identifier.
Action Code/Name The Action Code and Name.
Reason Code/Name The Reason Code and Name.
Display Order The order it will be displayed.
CreatedByDate Date and Time when the entry is created. It is a read only field.
CreatedByUser User who create this entry. It is a read only field.
ModifiedByDate Last modified date and time; It is a read only field.
ModifiedByUser Last modified user; It is a read only field.

  • Create: – Click the Create button to create a new Action Reason Map and switch to the “Search result Action Reason Map” Tab.
  • Clear:– Click the Clear button to clear all the fields.
  • Cancel:– Click the Cancel button to cancel the operation and switch back to the “Search result Action Reason Map” Tab.
